I work in the tax department where we work as a team to produce tax returns for individuals, partnerships and trusts. I also prepare capitals gains tax computations and 60-day returns for residential property disposals. I answer tax queries relating to personal tax, business tax and capital gains tax. I communicate with HMRC on a regular basis both over the phone and through written correspondence.
I obtained a level 3 distinction in business administration while working at Fawcett & Co as an admin and accounts assistant.
I have since started to study towards ATT level 4 (Association of Taxation Technicians) and have currently passed both my personal tax and accounting exams.
I have 4 further exams to complete before gaining the full qualification.
In the future I hope to study CTA to gain as much tax knowledge as possible.
I have constant support from all members of staff.
I am especially grateful for the fact that I am always being encouraged to develop and have been given the opportunity to grow.
I tried many new hobbies over the first lockdown such as badminton, embroidery, baking and going on local walks with my family.
I also enjoy spending time with my friends, especially going on holidays together when we get the chance.
My main hobby is scuba diving and underwater photography. My family got me into scuba diving when I was 12 and it has continued to be our favourite family activity since.
